As we finish our first year as Community Balanced Life, we are so grateful for the support we have gotten from each of you and we are hopeful for the community that will continue to grow and develop over the next year! Community is defined as a group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common and a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals. Where we live and our shared interests and goals have brought us together to form and support Community Balanced Life. We would not be where we are today without each of you coming to our classes and workshops and we hope you all would not be the same without us creating this wonderful community.
Community Balanced Life is a charity with a mission to provide classes, programs, and services that will educate, motivate, and inspire all members of the community to live a more balanced, healthy, and active life. At Community Balanced Life our goal is to create a space were our neighbors in the Upper Valley feel comfortable and supported by our teachers and other members of the community. We believe in a balanced approach to health, fitness, and mindfulness. We understand our community members have multiple demands on their time and we hope our diverse class and workshop offerings will meet your needs at any stage in your life.
There are many ways to support your community and for your community to support you. Here are 3 ways to continue to show your support:
1. Show up – attend classes and workshops, ask questions, and participate – without your attendance and participation there is no community, or at the very least the community will be very different without you there!
2. Show off – host a class, party, or event at Community Balanced Life, post to social media or tell your friends and family where you’ve been and the benefits you’ve experienced, bring a friend to the next class/workshop/event – once you show up in your community, be sure to show and tell people how great it is, and better yet bring them with you!
3. Shine out – notice how taking time for self-care through movement and social involvement increases your light, compassion, empathy, gratitude, and presence – we are social beings that require nourishment through many avenues and having and supporting your community can do wonders for your physical, mental, and emotional health that often shines out!
Here’s to you supporting us and us supporting you, and here’s to one year of Community Balanced Life!
